What is Ruqyah?

What is Ruqyah?

Ruqyah is a branch of spiritual healing that existed pre-Islam and is heavily based on using words for healing.

Ruqyah in Islam can be defined as interdiction via recitation of the Quran. The highest point of Ruqyah is that you can cause a miracle to happen.

The basis of Islamic Ruqyah is to ask God for healing. The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings upon him) regulated Ruqyah during his time by putting 2 conditions of Ruqyah for those who wish to practice it:

  1. The Ruqyah practitioner must not associate any partners to God when performing Ruqyah.
  2. The Ruqyah practitioner “helps his brother” i.e. the message of love is emphasized.

Holy verses from the Quran are commonly used in Ruqyah and are read over a person to invite healing. To increase the effectiveness, Ruqyah can be read into different food items to target healing in different parts of the body. Knowledge of elementary medicine in conjunction with Ruqyah further increases the effectiveness of the healing.

Different verses can have different effects when recited on a person. There are many different Ruqyah techniques and factors to amplify the effectiveness of one’s Ruqyah. Ruqyah can be used to ward of negative energies that cause problems such as pain, stress, mental illness, blocks in life etc and it can be used to invite positive energies such as a good destiny, lightness, relief from pain and illnesses etc.

Ruqyah is about bringing the Qur’an to life by using it as a healing tool for everyone around you, regardless of whether they have faith or not.

Ruqyah as a discipline is often vague and not well understood. Some practitioners have made a number of claims. These claims have not been substantiated. On some occasions, occurrences have happened which cannot be explained accurately or scientifically.

What is Innovative Ruqyah?

Following the death of the Prophet Muhammad (SAW) in the 7th Century, new Ruqyah techniques have been developed and therefore the typical Ruqyah session of the early 21st Century is now very different to Ruqyah in the 7th Century. However, unfortunately, innovation in Ruqyah has slowed down immensely in the early 21st Century.

Practicing Innovative Ruqyah means constantly seeking ways of how Ruqyah techniques can be improved within the constraints of Islamic Ruqyah in order to achieve the healing objective set by Allah when He (SWT) sent down the Quran.

And We send down of the Qur’an that which is healing and mercy for the believers… [but it does not increase the wrongdoers except in loss]. Su’rah Al-Isra (17:82)

Innovative Ruqyah is about understanding the hidden messages in the Quran and using them to delve deeper into a problem in order to enhance healing to a higher level. Research and Development is vital in Innovative Ruqyah in order to achieve similar rates of efficacy as conventional medicine.

The 7 Levels of Ruqyah were founded in order to drive Innovative Ruqyah.

  •     Level 1: Basic Recitation
  •     Level 2: Specific Recitation
  •     Level 3: Ruqyah Fusion
  •     Level 4: Hands of Ruqyah
  •     Level 5: Ruqyah of the Spiritual Organs
  •     Level 6: Elemental Ruqyah
  •     Level 7: Ruqyah outside Space and Time

What is Higher Ruqyah?

Higher Ruqyah refers to the higher findings from Innovative Ruqyah. It is the convergence between revelation and the physical world using an instrument such as the Quran. Higher Ruqyah can reshape the physical world using miracles at will. As we are constantly innovating, Higher Ruqyah has no limits and grows with our research and development.

What is a Miracle?

Miracles are defined as something that is outside the laws of nature. It is often thought that only Prophets can perform miracles however the Power and Omnipresence of God is Absolute for all time. Miracles can only come from God.

A person may have cancer, drink the water of zamzam and the cancer no longer exists. There are over 1000 years of documented incidents when people have drunk the water of zamzam and things of a ‘miraculous’ nature have happened to them. These are miracles but with no human involved.

Can Ruqyah achieve Miracles?

For many people, the Ruqyah effect is either psychological or a placebo and cannot be defined in any way as a miracle. If somebody learns Ruqyah in its true sense where they as an individual can become an instrument of God, then they can implement Ruqyah to achieve miracles.
